Position Summary

The Membership Development & Community Relations Manager is responsible for growing and retaining Chamber membership while building strong relationships across the Santa Fe business community. This position combines outreach, relationship management, and customer service to promote the Chamber’s mission and demonstrate the value of membership. This role serves as a visible ambassador for the Chamber and a trusted resource for local businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit new Chamber members and support monthly membership growth goals.
  • Conduct outreach to prospective members through phone calls, email, and in-person visits.
  • Maintain contact with existing members to encourage renewals and ensure satisfaction.
  • Follow up on members more than 90 days past due.
  • Represent the Chamber at events, ribbon cuttings, and community functions.
  • Build relationships with local businesses and organizations to enhance community engagement.
  • Maintain accurate member and prospect records within the Chamber’s CRM system.
  • Collaborate with Chamber leadership to align membership development and community outreach efforts.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales, business development, membership recruitment, or community relations (nonprofit or association experience preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across diverse audiences.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and professional in appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook; CRM experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Santa Fe business community is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish a plus
